Funeral services for Bryan Cirigliano, 51, President of Local 1035, were held on Saturday.

Cirigliano, an employee of Hartford Distributors for 29 years, was one of eight victims in a workplace shooting that happened August 3. According to reports, Cirigliano charged the shooter in an effort to stop him from harming more people; in doing so, Cirigliano himself was shot and killed.

Many Teamsters throughout the community attended the service to pay their respects, including Teamster Horsemen who led the procession from the church to the cemetery where Cirigliano was buried.

The family asked that donations be made in his memory to the Bryan Cirigliano Memorial Foundation, in care of his daughters, 26 Sleepy Hollow Road, Newington, CT 06111.
